Hopfgarten im Brixental is part of the Ski Welt arena, a huge but loosely connected and low-lying intermediate heaven, with the largest of the areas easily reached from Hopfgarten. In fact, Hopfgarten is probably the most convenient destination for daytrippers, since the most challenging slopes are nearby and the station is the first one in the area you reach from Wörgl, although the lifts are about twenty minutes walk through the village if you don't want to wait for the ski bus, and the trains are irregular.

Easy resort from Innsbruck, just 8 mins on the train from Wörgl and 15 minutes by bus. There is an extensive system of ski buses runing throughout the Ski Welt region, including from the station at Hopfgarten to the lifts, and there is also a free ski bus (4051) that connects Wörgl to Kitzbühel via Hopfgarten, Westendorf, Brixen im Thale and Kirchberg.
